About Our Company
Kirkwood Industries, Inc. is a distributor and manufacturer of steel products based in Woodinville, WA. Our product line and services cater to the residential, commercial, and agricultural marketplace. Over the past several years we have built long term relationships with our vendors both domestic and abroad. These relationships allow us to maintain quality products at a competitive price.
We have a sizable inventory of products on hand that are available to our customers. Value added products such as rebar fabrication, estimating, and detailing services have been an ever increasing part of our business. Our office and warehouse staff are experienced and highly capable our helping our customers find what they need. It would be our pleasure to help service you.
Our History
In July 1989 Tom Robinson started Kirkwood Industries, Inc. from an office in his home in Bothell, WA. The first year as a solo operator, Tom spent his days brokering direct containers of steel wire products and fasteners through previously established customers, and domestic and foreign vendors. The following year Tom hired Theresa Frazer to assist him with the accounting and administration as they expanded the business together.
In the early 1990’s, Kirkwood opened a small warehouse to service customers with less than truckload quantities.
As the company grew so did the need for additional space. In the mid 90’s Kirkwood moved its location to the Woodinville area and also leased space in Auburn. The mix of locations allowed for growth in rebar fabrication and inventory storage.
In January 2006, we purchased a building in Woodinville, WA with warehouse and office space. This has become the permanent location of Kirkwood Industries, and is home to several long term employees. Kirkwood has become a safe and productive environment for customers, vendors, and employees to do business.
